Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez could become the second acquisition secured from the club by Inter Milan, with the Serie A club reported to be in advanced negotiations to sign the Mexico international.
Hernandez has become a peripheral figure under Manchester United manager David Moyes this season and, reports the Daily Express, the forward is set to join his current captain in leaving Old Trafford for the San Siro this summer.
Inter have already moved to secure the signing of Nemanja Vidic, with the Serbian having agreed to complete a free transfer following the expiration of his contract at the end of the season, and Hernandez could become another notable coup.
Hernandez has made only four starts for Manchester United in the Premier League this term, with Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck all favoured in forward positions ahead of the 25-year-old, who joined the club in 2010.
The Mexico international has scored 57 goals for the club, 20 of which came in his first season alone, having joined for a relative snip at only £6 million from Guadalajara. Manchester United can expect to at least double that fee were Hernandez to be sold, with previous valuations for the player touted at around £15 million.
