FIFA report says,Man Utd player is the fastest footballer in the world.

According to reports of a study commissioned, released by FIFA, and published by Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.

The results contain a few surprises as the likes of Lionel Messi, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo are beaten by none other than Manchester United winger Antonio Valencia.

Tottenham’s Aaron Lennon is the only player who has not appeared in the Champions League this season to feature, while Arsenal’s Theo Walcott and United’s Wayne Rooney make the top-ten. Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben of Bayern Munich also make the list.

The study is based on FIFA statistics, and results were determined based on the highest recorded speed of a player in a game whilst in possession of the ball.

Valencia’s 35.1 km/h tops the list as the biggest surprise from the findings, while United’s Wayne Rooney is also deceptively quick, beating both Robben and Ribery.

Barcelona’s Lionel Messi features in sixth, with a speed of 32.5 km/h, and is joined in the list by team-mate Alexis Sanchez who averages slightly slower.

The findings mean that no less than four of the world’s fastest footballers could feature in Wednesday nights Champions League quarter-final second-leg between Bayern Munich and Manchester United. Wayne Rooney missed United’s 4-0 victory at Newcastle in the Premier League at the weekend, but is hoping to be fit for the game that is tied 1-1 on aggregate.

Borussia Dortmund will also face plenty of speed on Tuesday, as Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo look to build on their already comfortable 3-0 lead.

Here are the top-ten quickest footballer’s in the world according to FIFA statistics:
