PSG Coach Blanc-We're not scared to attack Chelsea
Laurent Blanc has warned Chelsea that his PSG team will not abandon their attacking principles at Stamford Bridge.
Paris St Germain take a 3-1 lead into the second leg of the quarter final against Jose Mourinho’s team and will be without injured captain Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
But Blanc said: 'The level of Ligue 1 is one and the level of the Champions League is completely different but we have a philosophy of play and we believe in certain things: taking the game to the opposition is the best way to win trophies.
'Our philosophy is an attacking one. If we want to be a top level European side, we have to put this philosophy into practice both at Parc de Princes but also away from home.
'I think we’ll have some issues in the first 20 minutes tomorrow, when Chelsea will be very aggressive and try and score, so we’ll have to be calm and counter-act Chelsea’s play, as we did in the second half of the first leg.
'We’ll try and impose our philosophy as often as we can, and it would be wonderful to progress playing this way.'
PSG have scored in each of their nine European games this season and know one goal will force Chelsea to score at least three to have any hope of salvaging the tie.
The French champions arrived in London and trained at Stamford Bridge. They have right-back Gregory van der Wiel available again after injury.
Blanc said: 'It’ll be a very intense game of football. We can’t just be content letting them come on to us. PSG are used to taking games to the opposition.
'We know they’re a quality side, but we need to give them problems. We’ve always scored in the CL.'
